Facing the dynamically shaped "lava walls" and the "Aokigahara Jukai" that covers the southwest coast, the "Jukai Cruising" where you can enjoy kayaking while looking at the Jukai is popular. It is also known as the "Jukai Jungle Cruise". It is also a beautiful lake where the only "Kunimasu" live in Japan. It is no exaggeration to say that it is the lake with the most guided elements among the Fuji Five Lakes. What is the appeal of Lake Saiko? Unlike Lake Kawaguchi and Lake Yamanaka, engine boats, power boats, and sightseeing boats are prohibited, so there are no artificial waves and it is calm. It can be enjoyed safely by beginners, those with children, and those with dogs. It is a lake right next to Lake Kawaguchi, so it is easy to access from your accommodation (15 minutes by car from Kawaguchiko Station). The water is clean and the environment is very quiet. Facing the sea of trees, you can see and touch the impressive lava belt that formed the sea of trees up close. There are many campsites around the lakeside, so you can join a tour while camping. It is the only lake in Japan where "Kunimasu" live. Depending on the course and the number of participants on the day, you can see Mt. Fuji. Seasonal characteristics: Spring The cold season is over, and the water temperature is still cold, but it is a comfortable season during the day. It is the season when it is easy to see Mt. Fuji covered in snow, so we often go on Mt. Fuji observation cruises. ・Summer Lake Saiko, located at an altitude of about 900 meters, is the best summer resort! Summer is the season for swimming in the lake! You can splash each other with water guns and jump into the water from a kayak! ・Autumn The temperature gradually drops and in early November, you can go on a cruise to see the autumn leaves. The mountains around Lake Saiko are covered with broadleaf forests, and the contrast between the green of Aokigahara Jukai and the autumn leaves of the surrounding mountains is amazing. ・Winter It is a cold season, but the charm of kayaking is that you can enjoy it if you take measures against the cold. You can also see Mt. Fuji covered in snow. [Time characteristics] ・9:30am and up This is the time when the wind starts to blow a little, but the conditions are easy to paddle, making it the most popular plan. Koyodai can enjoy the scenery of the surroundings with Mt. Fuji in the background, and you can see the superb view selected as the Fuji Hakkei. From the observation platform at Sankodai, you can enjoy magnificent panoramic views, overlooking Mt Fuji, Aokigahara Jukai, and three lakes.
