A trip around the mystical Kumamoto and TakachihoDeepen the charm of Kumamoto and Takachiho and start a journey full of mysticism and natural wonders. First, head to Kamishi-Kimi Kumano-za, famous for its pilgrimage route decorated with nearly 100 lanterns, as if you were lost in a dream world. Along the way, you will find Kuroto-iwa, a giant wind tunnel protruding from Onihachi, a symbol of faith that overcomes difficulties. The shrine's sacred tree, Nagi, is also an ideal place to make a wish, as it symbolizes matchmaking and business prosperity. Next, head to Amanoiwato Shrine and experience the mystical charm of Japanese mythology. Amanoiwato Shrine is an ancient sacred place that enshrines Amaterasu Omikami. The Tenyasu River within the shrine grounds was originally a popular place to make wishes by stacking stones, signifying that wishes would be fulfilled and good fortune would come. In addition to the sacred pilgrimage of worshippers, you can also experience a traditional blessing ceremony. Afterwards, explore Takachiho Gorge, a beautiful valley formed by an ancient volcanic eruption. The cliffs towering on both sides of the valley and the Manai Falls give a sense of the majestic nature. On the approximately 1 km promenade, you can leisurely stroll through unique scenery such as the "Kihachi Power Stone" and three arch bridges from different eras (Shinbashi Bridge, Showa Bridge, and Shinto Takachiho Bridge). In particular, the 70 m high Sennin no Byobu Rock has a beauty like a natural folding screen. Each attraction has its own history and natural scenery, allowing you to feel the depth of Japanese culture and the splendor of natural scenery. Whether it is a mysterious legend or the fascinating beauty of nature, this itinerary will bring you an unparalleled travel experience. The schedule is not available in Japanese.

This tour recruits a limited number of people every month, so first come, first served! And only for students! Reservations are for 3 people or more, and are recommended for those who come to play with friends during spring break or summer vacation! This plan was created to support the creation of memories for students who come to Amami Oshima. Why not try kayaking in the mangroves to make memories with your friends, such as on a graduation trip? You can land deep in the intricate jungle and on vast tidal flats that you cannot go on group tours!・Schedule ① Meet at Roadside Station Mangrove Park ② Arrival at the canoe boarding area, preparation lecture (15 minutes) We will explain how to row and precautions. ③Canoe tour (100 minutes) Let's row a canoe and explore the mangroves! The jungle, tree tunnels, tidal flats, and swarms of crabs are all extraordinary experiences. ⑤ Mangrove Park disbanded I hope you have the best memories of your trip.・About the tides Since mangroves are close to the ocean, the tides have a big effect on their location. This is a tour where you can row a canoe at both high and low tides. However, when the tide is high, the canoe travels through the channels inside the mangroves, and when the tide is low, the tidal flats appear, so they land on the tidal flats. If you have a preference, please let us know when making your reservation.・About tour safety The guide for this tour will be an instructor who has taken a kayak training program. We will provide appropriate lectures and advice to customers who are new to kayaking, and conduct tours in accordance with safety standards.・Others: This tour is not a private tour, and in some cases we may guide two groups at the same time. Amami Oshima was registered as a World Natural Heritage Site in 2021. As the reason for its registration is ``biodiversity,'' this island has many unique flora and fauna. Yuwandake is the most important place where many endemic species live. There are two routes to climb Mt. Yuwandake, but on this tour, you will walk up the wooden stairs from the 9th parking lot to the observation deck and shrine near the top. It's not a mountain trail, so it's easy to walk, and you can observe plants unique to Mt. Yuwandake along the way. (Anyone who has no problem walking or going up and down stairs in daily life can participate. The walk will take about 30 minutes each way.) On a clear day, you can see a wide view of Amami Oshima from the observation deck. However, as the name ``cloud forest'' suggests, Mt. Yuwandake has a unique environment where clouds and fog gather throughout the year, and there is a lot of rain. Therefore, if you're lucky you can see the view from the observation deck, but for me (the guide), the real view is on rainy days. We want you to enjoy this natural environment! After Mt. Yuwandake, we will stop at Materia Falls to take commemorative photos and have tea time. Date: Meet at Naze Sports Park in Amami City or pick up at hotel ↓ Transfer to Mt. Yuwandake (travel time varies depending on the pick-up location) Arrival at Mt. Yuwandake parking lot ↓ Arrive at Nature Walk Observation Deck/Shrine while observing flora and fauna ↓ Arrival at Shimoyama parking lot ↓ Transfer 15 minutes Materia Falls ↓ Arrive at hotel on the way back
