Would you like to make your own original washi notebook? Japanese binding is a traditional Japanese bookbinding technique that uses high-quality Japanese paper and linen thread, and has been passed down since the Heian period (794). In the workshop, we will start with ``Japanese paper dyeing'', which involves adding color to Japanese paper to create the cover of a notebook. ①Make the cover of your notebook by coloring Japanese paper. You can either fold the washi paper and dye it in color, or use a paper pattern to dye it. ② Applying the Japanese binding technique, assemble the inside of the notebook (*) and the cover of the notebook with embroidery thread. The size of the notebook is A6 (105 x 148.5 mm). Your one and only Japanese-bound notebook will be completed. At the end, we will serve Japanese sweets along with "Japanese paper tea" that is not available anywhere else! Learn basic washi ink techniques and washi paper cutting, and create your own original washi art work (one postcard and A5 size washi art). Washi ink is an original design tool. "Ise Katagami" is used for dyeing kimonos. It is a traditional craft technique that has been passed down in Suzuka City, Mie Prefecture for over a thousand years. ``Ise Katagami'' is made by a craftsman called a katagami, who uses a chisel to carve intricate patterns and designs onto durable Japanese paper. It is surprising that more than 900 patterns are carved into a single inch (approximately 3cm) corner using a very fine piece of material. This time, we will be dyeing postcards using a pattern carved by Chiaki Imazaka, a traditional craftsman. Why not dye it in your favorite color, create an original postcard, and send it to your loved ones with a message? We also have 6 different designs of this year's zodiac signs, ``Dragon'' and ``Seahorse.'' We recommend sending it to a loved one or to yourself as a memento of your trip to Tokyo.

We start by splitting real bamboo and making a platform for nagashi somen! We harvest the vegetables to be cooked in the pesticide-free vegetable field and cook them together.
