In a hut where the birds' voices fall and a fresh breeze passes through, you can play with the clay at your leisure. Enjoy such a luxurious time. A must-try for sake lovers! Making sake cups using soil from Yamada Nishiki rice fields♪ Those under 20 years old can choose to make sake cups or plates. Please note that the fees for each are different. Support is available in Japanese and English. We will respond carefully so that you can enjoy the experience even if you do not speak the same language. ~Experience flow~10:00/14:00 ① Artist Takuta Fujimura will explain and demonstrate how to make works using Yamada Nishiki clay (about 15 minutes) ② Use a hand wheel to make a sake cup of your choice using the ball-making method on a table. ③While the pieces are drying, you can view the climbing kiln and Mr. Fujimura's work. (You can also purchase them) 11:45/15:45 ④The dried pieces are beveled, signed, and the tour is over. *The pieces will be completed after one month and will be delivered by mail. You can take a cable car to the top of the mountain and calm your mind while touring the magnificent group of temples and the surrounding nature. Inside the temple, you will learn about the teachings and history of Buddhism and spend some quiet time. 2. Village scenery and shrine tour After sightseeing at Mount Shosha, we will move to an area about 30 minutes by car, where traditional rural scenery spreads. In this area, you can see traditional Japanese scenery and good old shrines. You can heal your mind and spend some quiet time in an environment surrounded by nature. You can experience the history and culture of the area while feeling the original scenery of Japan. 3. Participation in regional revitalization The region is facing a declining birthrate and aging population, and the local elementary school is facing the threat of closing. Therefore, the village revitalization project aims to revitalize the region through tourism, and participants can play a part in this. It is a valuable opportunity to actively participate in and contribute to the culture and future of the region through the tour. 4. Japanese culture experience After lunch, there is time to experience traditional Japanese culture. On a different day, you will learn various traditional Japanese music and dances, such as Japanese dance, shamisen, koto, and shakuhachi. Through these cultural experiences, you can actually experience Japanese art and feel its depth and charm. 5. Sake brewery tour and tasting At the end of the tour, you will visit a local sake brewery. Here, you will learn about the sake production process and then enjoy a tasting. It is a valuable experience to actually enjoy the taste of sake made using traditional methods while learning about the history and production method of sake. 6. Active participation in village revitalization This tour is not just sightseeing, but is intended to actively participate in village revitalization.
