It is a course to create 1 item from Iijima, hot water only, beer mug, serving plate, mug, single-ring cutting etc. Making a flat plate "Tatara making" and "string making" where layers of string-like soil are molded in layers, etc., the charm of "hand binding" that you can freely! Since the lecturer will give a solid lecture, we will support you to make your original work with your own ideas. Please feel free to consult if you do not understand ♪

This was a really fun experience. You can make either a mug, bowl or tea cup out of clay. You knead the clay with your hands rather than shape it on a potter’s wheel. The teacher was very patient and encouraging despite our clumsy efforts. You can personalise the object by adding your name and other designs like flower imprints or stripes. You can also choose the colour of the glaze. Firing the object will take a few days, but they can post the finished product to you even if you live outside Japan. I highly recommend this activity.

初めての電動ろくろでしたが、ご主人のサポートもあり素敵な湯呑みとお茶碗が作れました。冷たい土の感触と、力加減の難しさに戸惑いながらもイメージ通りの形になっていく過程がとても楽しかったです！最後には、お花の模様をつけたり色を決めたりもして充実した時間を過ごせました。ありがとうございました！
