In this pottery atelier, a renovated 120-year-old townhouse located in the quiet streets of Tanimachi Rokuchome, Osaka, you can enjoy a full-fledged pottery experience using hand-building or an electric potter's wheel. The host, who is a potter, will carefully guide you, so even beginners can participate with confidence. The experience lasts about 2 hours. It is a private experience with a small group of up to 4 people, so you can concentrate on creating your own work in a calm space. The clay used is from Shigaraki, Shiga. You can freely create teacups, small bowls, mugs, etc. The atelier is located a short walk from Tanimachi Rokuchome Station on the Osaka Metro, near Karahori Shopping Street, making it an easy location to stop by in between sightseeing. Why not relax from the fatigue of your trip by touching the clay and spend some time away from your daily life "making things"? The completed work will be carefully delivered to your home at a later date after drying, glazing, and firing (delivery fee varies depending on region). Take your time to see the main tourist spots in Osaka. In the afternoon, return to the castle town of Osaka Castle, Karabori, and experience hand-making at a pottery atelier renovated from a 120-year-old tenement house. Because it is a private tour, you can walk at your own pace, whether you are a couple, family, or single person.
