I'm interested in Kyudo. But I feel that archery (Kyudo, Yabusame) is too difficult to do all at once. I'd like to try shooting a bow for now. I've tried shooting at other archery ranges, but I can't hit the target. I want to get a little better. For those of you who feel this way, we will teach you the principles of the bow, how to aim, tips for hitting the target, how to shoot, and other basic techniques according to your purpose, whether you want to start shooting at a shihan-teki or want to shoot a o-yumi in the future. It uses a shorter and weaker bow than Kyudo, so even beginners can enjoy it, but it is deep and even serious archers will be satisfied as you can aim at targets at the official distance of shihan-teki competitions.

In addition to rice and hot pot, we will have an early dinner with a dish using vegetables from the farm and a dessert using vegetables from the field. If you would like to make bamboo crafts as an option, you can make your own chopsticks, chopstick rests, and cups while the pot is on the fire and wait for the rice and hot pot to be completed. Would you like to try traditional archery that is a little different from Kyudo? Did you know that Kyudo did not exist during the samurai era before the Edo period (such as the Sengoku and Muromachi periods)? It will satisfy a wide range of levels, from the basics for beginners to practical practice of attaching an arrow to a waist and rapid shooting practice for those with Kyudo experience. Even those who are not physically strong can enjoy archery with peace of mind, as we also lend out short and weak bows and accommodate experiences while sitting on a chair. The event will be held outdoors.

This is an experiential calligraphy class for foreign tourists visiting Japan, business travelers, or foreigners living in Japan. Write kanji with a brush while calming your mind in a Japanese-style room in a Japanese-style private house. We have prepared approximately 30 kanji characters that are popular among foreigners, such as love, dream, mother, father, friend, and flower. If you have any requests for kanji that you would like to write, please let us know in advance and we will prepare a model for you! We receive many requests to write their name in kanji, so please let us know in advance the name you would like to write (only one person) and we will prepare a sample! You can use the name of a family member (only one name) instead of your own! In this hands-on class, you will polish the ink you use by yourself. You can see for yourself that the color of the ink gradually becomes darker. In addition, the tools used in calligraphy, such as brushes, paper, inkstones, and ink, are explained in an easy-to-understand manner using panels with photos. The lesson begins and ends with a seated prayer. We will also explain the etiquette of the zarei in an easy-to-understand manner! Start with basic writing techniques such as vertical lines and horizontal lines, practice the selected kanji on paper, and finally write them on the fan. You can take the fan home with you, so it also makes a great souvenir!

A 2-day, 1-night tour of Omikawa-tei, an old folk house with a history of over 150 years since the Edo period, located in Tako-cho, Chiba Prefecture, with overnight stay. On the first day, participants enjoyed sweets and coffee at a cafe in the town, followed by a tour of a Japanese temple and a Japanese sweets making experience. After checking in, guests will enjoy Japanese cultural experiences (tea ceremony, calligraphy, etc.), Tako rice rice ball making experience, and dinner at the accommodation facility, Omikawa-tei. The next day, we will stop at roadside stations and other places while touring the rural scenery of the town.
