A swordsmith will teach you the techniques of Japanese sword making and spend a whole day making a short sword with a blade length of less than 30 cm. During the experience, charcoal cutting, tamaheshi, tsutsubokashi, forging, unbending, fire making, soil placement, quenching, and blacksmith sharpening will be performed. The sword will then be registered and sharpened at a later date, and will be shipped to your home along with a registration certificate. Lake Kawaguchi is a vast lake located at an altitude of 830 meters and covers an area of 5.7 square kilometers. The indented shoreline of the lake offers many great spots to view Mt. Fuji, and on a windless day, you must see the beautiful "upside-down Fuji" reflected in the lake! Board the Mt. Fuji Panoramic Ropeway and enjoy the majestic view from the observation deck at 1,075 meters. On a clear day, you can enjoy a spectacular view of Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi, and maybe even see all the way to the Southern Alps. Explore Oshino Hakkai, a region between Lake Yamanaka and Lake Kawaguchi in Yamanashi Prefecture. This charming region is known for its eight pure springs that stand out against the backdrop of Mt. Fuji.
