The shop name "Yamaju" is derived from the fact that the first generation was called "Kamiyama no Shigebei" and was popular. At the time of its founding, it ran a bathhouse called "Yuya Chojuyu," which was a popular place to soak in hot water, eat leisurely, and drink alcohol. In the Taisho era, I also worked on Western food. Since then, it has been operating as a Japanese restaurant. In 1959 and 20th year, the imperial family visited us. You can spend a comfortable space with a pure Japanese-style space and the cuisine and hospitality unique to a long-established restaurant. It was published in the 2020 Michelin Guide Niigata. Fall 2021 The building was certified as a national registered tangible cultural property.

You will wear a kimono and enjoy lunch and walking around the city. As an option, it is also possible to request a photo shoot by a professional photographer or a professional hair and makeup artist. Rickshaw rides around the city are also wonderful (rickshaws run from April to October).
