Hinohara Village is the only village on land in Tokyo. Deep inside the village, on a ridge well over 700m above sea level, lies the old house "Kyu Kobayashi Family Residence". Built in the mid-Edo period (more than 320 years ago), this mountain house is literally an "old house in the sky". This tour, which takes you there by mountain monorail that goes straight up a super steep slope of nearly 45 degrees, is an extremely extraordinary experience that will leave a deep impression on your memory, both geographically and historically, as well as physically. The tour meets at the Tokyo Back Mountain Base in front of JR Musashi-Itsukaichi Station, and includes transportation to the site by private car. *Hinohara Village has been designated as a national ecotourism promotion area, and as an exception, transportation to the ecotour site by car is permitted. (Your accompanying guide, Jinken, is a certified eco-tour guide for Hinode Village.) For lunch, you will be served at the Kobayashi Family House, with a lunchbox of light snacks (Cuban sandwiches) made specially for the Tokyo Urayama Base, and coffee brewed with water that participants themselves will have drawn from a special spring in the area. After experiencing the old mountain house, we will move on to another highlight of the day. We will stop at Kanoto Rock, a power spot known only to those in the know, and walk along the valley using chains. Here, too, you can experience a part of the local mountain worship and lifestyle culture. On the way back, we will cross a suspension bridge over the valley just beyond the Akigawa River from the village and enjoy a foot bath at a popular local hot spring. Once your feet are warm, we will head to a local cafe renovated from an old house, recommended by our guide (Jinken). We will take a break at CAFE POUND, the most popular cafe in the area, renovated from a Showa-era house by the owner himself. A private car will pick you up from the station, and you will be accompanied by a Hinode Village certified eco-tour guide. It will be a very fulfilling day where you can experience the lifestyle and culture of a mountain village. This is a premium tour with a capacity of only 6 people. (Participation is possible from one person. However, the minimum number of participants for the tour is 2 people.)

A private trekking tour with a guide around the sights of Mt. Nokogiri, a lesser-known mountain on the Boso Peninsula. This is a special tour that allows you to enjoy the sights of Mt. Nokogiri, a unique mountain where the remains of the stone-cutting industry that supported the region and the Buddhist world of Nihon-ji Temple are back to back, all in one day! We start by walking through the streets of Kanaya, which flourished as a stone-cutting industry from the Edo period to the Showa period, and then head to the Nokogiriyama Ropeway Station. After entering the grounds of Nihon-ji Temple and worshiping the "Hyakushaku Kannon," we trace the scenery and history of the remains of the quarry, which once flourished as a stone-cutting industry and now stands like an ancient ruin. After that, we proceed while listening to the guide's explanations about the sights such as the famous photo spots "Peeking into Hell" and "1,500 Arhats," and the tallest "Great Buddha" in Japan (as a seated statue and rock-carved Buddha), and finally descend the mountain by ropeway and disband. *There will be a lunch break along the way.
There is much to enjoy: natural landscapes, human interaction with the environment, religious customs, flora and fauna, history, and much more. Interesting anecdotes and views as well as a few scary moments and many photo opportunities are part of the enjoyment factor. Nokogiriyama is known as a lesser known mountain on the Boso Peninsula. With its jagged ridgeline resembling the teeth of a saw, and the remains of the quarry where Boso stone was quarried by the stone-cutting industry until the Showa era, it looks like an abandoned building, and this otherworldly space that appears in the middle of nature has become popular. On this tour, you will pass through the streets of Kanaya, which once flourished as a stone-cutting industry, and climb the "Sharikko Road," a road that once transported quarried stone, with a guide. While enjoying the climb, which is low above sea level but has a large elevation difference, you will feel the breath of the craftsmen of the time, and trace the history of how Boso stone supported Japan's modernization and declined over time.

Booked a fly for 3 persons(1 child) on weekdays. Luckily it turned out to be a Private trip. Shin-san was the pilot and was very cool with lotsa experience. He speaks easy to understand English and tried to keep the crew happy throughout the trip. Had opted for Go-Pro and was worth. The fly was for an hour and took to an altitude of 1250m (max). Lovely and Amazing view. Felt really safe. Landing was super smooth. Highly recommend to below: - First timers (worth the money) - Birthday/Wedding Anniversary. - Couples Thanks Shin-san. :-)

Stroll through the old town Takayama and the surrounding area boast traditional architecture, gorgeous festivals, and some of the best mountains and hot springs in Japan. Widely recognized as an important asset of Gifu, surrounded by majestic nature, including the Japanese Alps, Takayama is not only a great tourist destination in itself, but also a great base for sightseeing in the Japanese Alps and the surrounding Hida region. The Mimachi Building Preservation District, the heart of Takayama city, attracts tourists from all over Japan. You can spend an entire day wandering the old streets, shopping for souvenirs at the many craft shops, tasting local teas, and enjoying local specialties such as wagyu beef sushi. There are also many sake breweries in and around the Mimachi district. You can also enjoy sake tastings at the breweries. Secondly, Shirakawa-go, located at the foot of the sacred mountain Hakusan, is one of the must-visit tourist destinations in Gifu. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this beautiful traditional village is the definition of postcard-like beauty. Shirakawa-go Ogimachi Gassho-zukuri Village is the village with the most remaining Gassho-zukuri houses. The name Gassho-zukuri literally means "like praying hands". Gassho Village will take you back to pre-modern Japan. Climb the Shirakawa-go observation deck, look out over the village, and enjoy the views of a time gone by. Shirakawa-go is worth a return visit as it shows different looks with each passing season. From the splendid cherry blossom season to the lush green summer, from the fiery autumn leaves to the quiet white winter, Shirakawa-go always has a spectacular charm.
