In this city where you hardly ever see foreigners, this is the first public calligraphy experience activity where you can meet a master of calligraphy. ● Artist "MADARA" presents a stylish and artistic calligraphy lesson that touches on the history and culture of calligraphy. The first half of the activity will be about the history of calligraphy and a calligraphy lesson. In the second half, Madara, the only calligrapher in Japan who practices the art of calligraphy, which brings happiness, will convert your name into kanji and create a scroll drawn in calligraphy. In addition, Madara is also a colorful Japanese ink painter, so this is a workshop where you can create a tote bag, T-shirt, or hand towel that is one of a kind in the world, with a design that combines MADARA's drawing with your kanji name. In the workshop, you will enjoy Japanese sweets and matcha tea while experiencing the experience, so there is no need to be nervous. Beginners are also welcome! ● Contents This activity is composed of the following two parts. Part 1 is 50 minutes, with a 10-minute break. Hiratsuka is a town on the way from Tokyo to Hakone. It is also 30 minutes by train from Hiratsuka to Kamakura.

For calligraphy, you choose your favorite words, characters, or the name of a place that you remember from your travels, and choose your favorite characters, words, and font from several samples. While looking at the sample, the customer writes with a brush. Even beginners can learn to use a brush with a little practice. Seal carving uses a special rubber stamp. It is safe and easy to create. The design is basically your name, but you can choose any shape or object. You can use the seal as a seal for your work in your daily life, on your art work, or on your letters. The calligrapher will help you with how to use it and the design, so you can participate with peace of mind. If necessary, we will give you a simple lecture in Japanese to help you deepen your understanding of characters and words.
