You can also enjoy tastings at the breweries. ▼15:00 Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri Village (120 minutes) Located at the foot of the sacred mountain Hakusan, Shirakawa-go is one of the must-visit tourist destinations in Gifu. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this beautiful traditional village is the definition of postcard-like beauty. Shirakawa-go Ogimachi Gassho-zukuri Village is the village with the most remaining Gassho-zukuri houses. The name Gassho-zukuri literally means "like praying hands." Gassho-zukuri Village takes you back to pre-modern Japan. Climb the Shirakawa-go observation deck, look out over the village, and enjoy the view of a time gone by. Shirakawa-go is worth a repeat visit as it shows different looks with the changing of the seasons.
