You will experience catching beetles and stag beetles at private sites in the Chofu City and Mitaka City areas. I am a host who loves insects and breeds about 500 insects a year. Due to the natural environment, it may not be possible to catch them after rain. Due to many requests from early elementary school students and preschoolers, we will be changing the start time to 8:00 or 9:00 a.m. ▼Schedule/Meeting We will meet at the meeting point at 4am in the morning. After explaining the rules for the day, we will move to 3 to 4 points by bicycle. We will observe and capture fish until 7am. The lecturer may be Tosshi or co-hosts Ryo and Sora depending on the circumstances. We look forward to your participation.

This event is held throughout the year, and after observing insects in the forest (larvae from autumn to spring), parents and children will explore the creatures in the river. On the day, gather at the meeting point and rent a Panasonic electric bicycle (with front and rear child seats, 20-inch and 24-inch MTBs are available for upper elementary school students) (free of charge). Put on gloves and go through the grass and turn over stones to catch fish and crayfish. Spring water and cold water points do not move, so you can catch them with your bare hands. The main targets for capture are turtles, frogs, catfish, Japanese mitten crabs, striped shrimp, Yamato swamp shrimp, American crayfish, Ukigoi, Chichibu, loach, Moroko, Motsugo, Japanese river snail, Taiwanese clam, dragonfly nymph, and river insects. Many creatures live behind the stones and many hide underneath, so turn over lots of stones to see them. Winter observations are easier to observe. We look forward to your participation and applications. If you cancel on the day, we will reschedule free of charge. If you wish to take fish home, please bring a plastic case and bubble tea (battery-operated; only the fish need oxygen). There are many paid parking lots at the local meeting point. We will meet at the market 10 minutes before the tour starts. If you are delayed due to traffic congestion, we would appreciate it if you could consider an afternoon Seesion or change the date. Electric cycling and exploring unexplored areas at a hidden spot just over an hour west of Shinjuku! A local guide will take you on a special route through the scenery of nature and Satoyama, which is hard to believe that you are in Tokyo. With the help of an electric assist, you can easily climb the slope, encounter a huge tree, greet the fish swimming in the clear stream, throw stones in the river, take a break on the wooden deck overlooking the valley, and buy some local sweets. This is a fulfilling tour where you can enjoy the beauty of the valley, nature, and hidden spots that you won't believe are in Tokyo, as if they were attractions. For lunch, you can enjoy a special Cuban sandwich lunch box while relaxing on an outdoor chair in the valley (canyon chairing experience) (both the chairing and lunch box are included in the price). Enjoy the luxury of sitting by the water, listening to the sound of the water, and doing nothing. The highlight of the afternoon tour is a river trekking experience where you wear waterproof clothing to keep your feet dry and walk through a secret valley stream to feel like an explorer and visit a hidden waterfall in Tokyo! Participants must be 135cm tall or above, and can be enjoyed by friends or family. After river trekking, we will run along the river and return to the back mountain base, and the tour will end... If you wish, you can use the rental bicycle as is and move around freely, so you can split up with the guide and go further through the countryside and valley scenery, and even aim for a hot spring footbath. (We will give you a map and explain it so you don't get lost.)Meet and dissolve at the Tokyo Urayama Base, right in front of Musashi Itsukaichi Station. You can see at a glance where you can get off to the river. [Electric assisted bicycles] A wide lineup from small-wheeled types with baskets that can be ridden by people 133 cm tall and above, to mamachari types, and electric sports bicycles (so-called E-Bikes, electric cross bikes and road bikes). For types that can be dropped off, you can return them to the unmanned port in front of the station or at Jurigi intersection by 23:59 on the day. [Non-electric bicycles] A lineup from stylish cross bikes with baskets to sports types (gravel roads and mountain bikes are also available) for 2,800 yen per day. All rental locations are at the Tokyo Urayama Base, right in front of JR Musashi-Itsukaichi Station. Business hours are 9:00-17:00.

From late May to mid-June, there is a tour to dig up rhinoceros beetle larvae, pupae, and adults, and in the remaining time, you can also experience splitting wood to catch stag beetles. We will visit several points in Chofu City and capture them. This tour is all-inclusive, with transportation by electric bicycle, front and rear child seats, and a capture case.
