The Kagami River, which flows through Kochi City, has its source in the mountainous area of Kochi City, and has contributed to the prosperity of the city. It is said that Ryoma Sakamoto also swam there, and near the river mouth there is an island called Maruyamadai, which is associated with Taisuke Itagaki. In 2021, it will also be the setting for the anime “The Dragon and the Freckled Princess” directed by Mamoru Hosoda. Packrafts are smaller, lighter, and more stable than canoe kayaks. The paddle is the same as a kayak, with blades on both ends, so even first-time paddlers can easily maneuver it. The view of the city seen from above the river looks different and offers a fresh perspective. It is a 2-hour experience to explore Kagami River by packraft. You may be able to observe a surprising number of living creatures, which is part of the fun. Packrafts are single-seaters and can be enjoyed by healthy people of junior high school age and above. *Some of the images posted include images taken in Niyodogawa Town, where other plans are being held.
