Enjoy a tour of a wasabi farm and a wasabi processing experience (making wasabi soy sauce) amid the clear air and beautiful scenery of Okura Village. You can also taste all-wasabi dishes.
Okura Village is a member of the Most Beautiful Villages in Japan Association, and our company is an associate member. With beautiful scenery and clear air, we grow our crops without the use of pesticides, using only the delicious spring water known as "Masudama no Suzu," which has been certified as one of the "100 Best Village Waters in Yamagata." At Wasabi Workshop Okura, you can tour the wasabi greenhouse and experience wasabi processing. Have you ever seen a whole stalk of wasabi? You can eat the whole wasabi, from the root to the leaves. Why not take this opportunity to try an all-wasabi dish?

Plan attractions
Wasabi processing experience (Wasabi workshop) Grate the wasabi with a grater, put it in a jar, pour in the special soy sauce, attach a label, and your wasabi soy sauce is complete.
Wasabi processing experience (Wasabi House) Guests will be asked to try the wasabi soy sauce poured over warm rice.
