1. Arrive at Kimono Rental Fuji located inside Ritsurin Garden's Commerce and Industry Promotion Hall and meet your kimono dresser who is fluent in English. (5 min)2. Choose your favorite one from a wide selection of gorgeous kimonos. (10 min)3 (10 min)4. Stroll around Ritsurin Garden. There are plenty of attractions in the park including photo spots that bring out the beauty of your kimono. You can also enjoy delicious matcha green tea and wagashi sweets at tea houses, or a Japanese-style boat ride around the pond at extra charges. A multilingual audio guide that supports Japanese, English, Chinese, Korean, French, German, and Spanish is also available for rental(200 yen). (Maximum 120 min) 5. Ritsurin Garden is the largest garden among the Japanese gardens designated as national cultural properties. It has been awarded the highest grade of three stars in the Michelin Green Guide Japan and praised as “a place worth traveling to.” About half of the gardens listed as national special scenic spots, the garden equivalent of national treasures, are in Kyoto and most of them are Zakan style gardens which prioritize a view from one particular point.
Ritsurin Garden is a Kaiyu style garden (a style of Japanese garden with a path around a pond) with more than 400 years of history. It has been awarded the highest rank of three stars in the Michelin Green Guide Japan and widely regarded as one of the most beautiful gardens in Japan.
