About Project

What is the Japan Culture & Arts Profitability Enhancement Project?

The "Culture & Arts Profitability Enhancement Project" is a project by the Japanese Agency of Cultural Affairs. It aims to secure and strengthen the profitability of many cultural and artistic organizations experiencing a decline in revenue opportunities due to the spread of the novel Coronavirus. The project implements new initiatives to introduce the Japanese culture and arts to people worldwide by leveraging each field's unique qualities.

On this page, we will highlight the various efforts of organizations in arts and culture towards the establishment of a new business model through:
· Providing multilingual content and activities you can enjoy in languages other than Japanese.
· Creating real-time interactive experiences that allow communication with museum curators, actors, theatre performers, and more.
These new business models are avenues for developing overseas markets and shifting from an appreciative format to a participatory one.
