Noshiro City in Akita Prefecture is located at the mouth of the Yoneshiro River. It has a convenient port for transporting felled Akita cedar, and sawn lumber is exported both domestically and overseas, earning it the nickname "the No. 1 wooden city in the Orient." Even today, the city is home to many wood-related businesses. You'll assemble wooden kumiko pieces from scratch. While the work involves delicate details, the experience of seeing the pieces snap together is addictive! The finishing touches, using sandpaper, allow you to enjoy the pleasant aroma of the wood. *Wood material: Japanese cypress. Choose from two types of straps: a 5.6cm diameter strap or a 10cm coaster (additional 500 yen). (If you would like a coaster, please select the "Change to Coaster" option.) A souvenir gift is included: a 500ml bottle of mineral water sourced from the Shirakami-Sanchi World Heritage Site and a specialty Noshiro confectionery. [About the experience location] If the experience is held at a facility within the city, it will be a 5-minute walk or within the tourist information center. ■Multilingual support: We will provide support using translation apps.
