It is also called Omi's Itsukushima because of the large torii gate floating in the lake with Okishima in the background. It is the oldest shrine in Omi, and as the name suggests, it is known as the god of longevity and long life, and is also the "god of guidance" for all business, including safe navigation, which is perfect for SUP. The large torii gate is also said to be a landmark for worship by boat. There are many things to see in the shrine grounds, so be sure to visit and then head home!
