This is a Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki pottery experience at Heian Gyokuo Touen. It is held on the first floor of Hotel Emion Kyoto in Umekoji, Kyoto, and is open to families, friends, and couples. You will use gosu (a kind of paint used in pottery) and a brush to paint with a Gyokuo Kiln painter. The artisans of the Kyo-yaki and Kiyomizu-yaki kilns will gently and carefully guide you. You can experience the "Chanoyu" tea ceremony, a comprehensive art form of Japanese culture, in a traditional Kyoto townhouse, where a teacher will prepare the tea and you can also make the tea yourself. For this plan, you will come to Yumeyakata Gojo store, change into your kimono, and then move to the venue for the tea ceremony experience, Yumeyakata Oike Bettei, by yourself. As it takes 1.5 hours to dress and style your hair, if you arrive at 10:00, the tea ceremony experience will be from 12:00 to 13:00. After the tea ceremony experience, you can use the kimono as it is. Please return it to Yumeyakata Gojo store by 17:30.
