Why not try the moving experience of playing anime songs and world-famous hit songs on the traditional Japanese instrument, the koto? Don't worry if you're a beginner. Professional koto players will teach you kindly and carefully, so even if you have no musical experience, you can enjoy it with confidence. First, you will learn the basics of how to play the koto. You can enjoy the beautiful sound of the koto while learning the feel of plucking the strings and how to move your fingers. Then, get the sheet music of anime songs and hit songs and try playing your favorite songs. The sound of the koto will give the song a new charm and make it an impressive performance. Once you've completed your performance, record a video and show off your performance to your friends and family. Everyone will be moved by the beautiful sound of the koto. Your first koto experience is a rare opportunity to experience the magic of music and traditional Japanese culture. Why not explore a new world of music while experiencing the joy of playing anime songs and hit songs on the koto?
It was fun experience trying the Koto for the first time and it was definitely the highlight of my trip to Japan! If you are looking for a new experience and love Japanese traditional music, it is definitely worth visiting Pink Asakusa and trying out their Koto short class. With the help from the friendly staff at Pink Asakusa who are fluent in both Japanese and English, they were able translate everything the teacher was saying. Miyabi Sensei was also extremely talented & knowledgeable, and will answer questions you may have along the way during your time there! :D
