This is a 2km walk to see the unusual "Furepe Falls", a waterfall that falls directly into the sea from a cliff gap. On clear days, the Shiretoko mountain range is beautiful here. You can also see how the Shiretoko 100 Square Meter Movement is restoring the former development site to forest. It is often possible to see Ezo deer and wild birds here. The trail may be closed due to brown bears, snowfall, storms, etc. If we know of a closure in advance, we will contact you by mobile phone and offer you cancellation (free of charge) or an alternative course (same price), or a different date and time, if you wish. During the snowy season, you will walk through Shiretoko National Park, a World Heritage Site, on snowshoes. If there is no snow, you will walk without snowshoes. You will walk through natural forests and see waterfalls and giant icicles flowing into the Sea of Okhotsk, and depending on the season, drift ice. You can mainly observe Ezo deer and wild birds. You may also see eagles, woodpeckers, and flying squirrels, which are designated as natural monuments. In the event of a blizzard or other bad weather, we will contact your mobile device and, depending on your preference, we will cancel the tour or reschedule the tour after the weather has improved.

It takes about 90 minutes (8km) to slowly descend the area downstream from the middle stream in Kushiro Marsh. * In the case of strong winds, it will guide you to the upper reaches of the marsh, which is less affected by the wind.

This is a limited-time tour only available in autumn. You can observe the creatures in the river where Okhotsk salmon and autumn salmon naturally spawn. You can see salmon, of course, but also other creatures such as creatures that target fish and birds that steal eggs. Sometimes you can observe them close enough to take photos with your smartphone. The guide will prepare a filter that allows you to take beautiful photos of the fish without shining the river surface. On the morning of the day of fishing, you can also observe the fish being landed at the "Utoro Salmon Terrace". Please choose a tour at 7 or 8 o'clock on a weekday. (Fishing is suspended on Sundays and in bad weather.) The salmon return situation changes depending on natural conditions. If there are no salmon nearby, you will move by car, so we recommend that you participate by rental car. In the event of bad weather, we will contact you to cancel (or postpone if you wish).
