The Mimachi Group of Buildings Preservation District, the heart of Takayama city, attracts tourists from all over Japan. You can spend an entire day wandering the old streets, buying souvenirs from the many craft shops, tasting local teas, and enjoying local specialties such as wagyu beef sushi. There are also many sake breweries in and around the Mimachi district. You can also enjoy tastings at the breweries. ▼15:00 Shirakawa-go Gassho-zukuri Village (120 minutes) Located at the foot of the sacred mountain Hakusan, Shirakawa-go is one of the must-visit tourist destinations in Gifu. Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this beautiful traditional village is the definition of postcard-like beauty. Shirakawa-go Ogimachi Gassho-zukuri Village is the village with the most remaining Gassho-zukuri houses. The name Gassho-zukuri literally means "like praying hands." Gassho-zukuri Village takes you back to pre-modern Japan. Climb the Shirakawa-go observation deck, look out over the village, and enjoy the view of a time gone by. Shirakawa-go is worth a repeat visit as it shows different looks with the changing of the seasons. The ski resort has four ABCD ski courses, the longest of which is 1 km long and has a drop of 150 meters, making it enjoyable for beginners to intermediate skiers. This ski resort is not only for ski enthusiasts, but also for families who want to enjoy playing in the snow, as it offers basin skiing. If it's sunny, you can see beautiful views of Mt.
