Explore Lake Two and Lake One of the Shiretoko Five Lakes on a ground walkway, then return via an elevated boardwalk. As you walk along the walkway, you can observe the nature that changes with the seasons. You can mainly observe Ezo deer and wild birds. Roads and walkways may be closed due to brown bear sightings, snowfall, storms, etc. If we know of a closure in advance, we will contact you by mobile phone and offer you the option to cancel (free of charge) or an alternative course (same price), or a different date and time, if you wish. If the course is closed after you meet at the site, we will offer you an alternative course (same price) that is available for the remaining time.

This trekking tour covers all of the Shiretoko Five Lakes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a special protected area of Shiretoko National Park, including the elevated boardwalk. This is the first groundbreaking forest adventure experience in Japan, where licensed guides guide you through areas where brown bears live. You can observe not only the lakes, but also the seasonal changes in nature, such as Ezo deer, Ezo red foxes, wild birds, alpine plants, and autumn leaves. Since the animals are not fed, all the creatures you encounter are real wild animals. We may be able to accommodate times that are not listed in the selection column, so please contact us. Even during busy periods such as summer vacation and autumn holidays, you can experience the tranquility of Shiretoko here. This course passes through old development sites and forests to see the groundwater waterfalls that flow into the Sea of Okhotsk. On clear days, you can see the 200m high cliffs that stretch all the way to Cape Shiretoko. Like "Furepe Falls," this is a course to see cliff waterfalls, but this one is a bit wilder, with no walking trails and requiring climbing over logs. If it becomes dangerous due to a storm or other reasons, we will contact you by mobile phone and, if you wish, we will cancel (free of charge) or introduce you to an available tour the next day or later (same price).
