Electric cycling and exploring unexplored areas at a hidden spot just over an hour west of Shinjuku! A local guide will take you on a special route through the scenery of nature and Satoyama, which is hard to believe that you are in Tokyo. With the help of an electric assist, you can easily climb the slope, encounter a huge tree, greet the fish swimming in the clear stream, throw stones in the river, take a break on the wooden deck overlooking the valley, and buy some local sweets. This is a fulfilling tour where you can enjoy the beauty of the valley, nature, and hidden spots that you won't believe are in Tokyo, as if they were attractions. For lunch, you can enjoy a special Cuban sandwich lunch box while relaxing on an outdoor chair in the valley (canyon chairing experience) (both the chairing and lunch box are included in the price). Enjoy the luxury of sitting by the water, listening to the sound of the water, and doing nothing. The highlight of the afternoon tour is a river trekking experience where you wear waterproof clothing to keep your feet dry and walk through a secret valley stream to feel like an explorer and visit a hidden waterfall in Tokyo! This is the most popular tour held from autumn to spring. A tour to search for aquatic insects around several forests and streams (spring water points) on an electric bicycle with front and rear child seats. Free rental of waders is available from autumn to spring. Please bring marine shoes in summer. Search for rhinoceros beetle larvae in the forest and stag beetle larvae in the trees. Move to the stream and search for about five types of nymphs. Search for giant dragonflies, small dragonflies, blue dragonflies, dragonflies, autumn darter nymphs, fish, crabs, and crayfish. This event is held throughout the year, and after observing insects in the forest (larvae from autumn to spring), parents and children will explore the creatures in the river. On the day, gather at the meeting point and rent a Panasonic electric bicycle (with front and rear child seats, 20-inch and 24-inch MTBs are available for upper elementary school students) (free of charge). Put on gloves and go through the grass and turn over stones to catch fish and crayfish. Spring water and cold water points do not move, so you can catch them with your bare hands. The main targets for capture are turtles, frogs, catfish, Japanese mitten crabs, striped shrimp, Yamato swamp shrimp, American crayfish, Ukigoi, Chichibu, loach, Moroko, Motsugo, Japanese river snail, Taiwanese clam, dragonfly nymph, and river insects. Many creatures live behind the stones and many hide underneath, so turn over lots of stones to see them. Winter observations are easier to observe. This tour will take care of your children while you enjoy a BBQ from morning until late afternoon, and you can experience rummaging around in the nearby river and searching for stag and rhinoceros beetle larvae in the forest. Parents start getting ready from 10am and enjoy a leisurely BBQ until noon, while children join after 12pm and stay until 1.30pm. After 1.30pm, you can go to the nearby Kuroyu Onsen and Yumori no Sato hot springs (admission fee included). Or you can rent an electric bicycle for free and take a tour around Jindaiji Temple. Children can be looked after from 10am to 12pm and from 1.30pm to 4pm. This is a bicycle tour around rice fields, spring water points, and upstream. Please note that this tour is limited to electric three-seater bicycles, so only those who can ride a bicycle can participate. The targets are river crabs, loaches, crayfish, four types of dragonfly nymphs, mitten crabs, chichibu, minnows, moroko, and carp. (Shallow points only) Gather at the meeting point, use the toilet, and use insect repellent, then start cycling. Please wear a helmet and drive safely. This tour involves cycling around the spring water repeatedly. Since the tour is aimed at shallow waters, it is a safe point for small children, and although exploration requires a little skill, it is a tour to explore the source of the hidden area, so you can make summer memories with your family, learn about the creatures while enjoying the constant temperature spring water, which is cool in summer and warm in winter, and then go home. Meet at Chofu Station or Fukadai Fureai no Sato and go around 6 spots in the Nogawa River on an electric bicycle (with front and rear child seats, children's bicycles are available in various sizes). Even children can easily catch them, but the average size is about 60 cm, so you may not be able to catch them. The pull is strong, so please do your best to catch them.
