Japanese scent Yusura Would you like to experience creating Japanese scents at Atelier Kobo? Recommended for those who like authenticity. In this plan, we create scents using only high-quality sandalwood from India and over a dozen natural incense ingredients. You will end up with one scented bag and two items in a washi paper bag. Neriko is a black pill-shaped incense that was widely used during the Heian period. It is also used in front of the charcoal in winter during tea ceremonies. Nerika is not something to be used at room temperature, but rather to be warmed to enjoy its aroma. We placed lit charcoal in an incense burner filled with ashes, placed incense sticks on top of the warmed ashes, and enjoyed the scent that wafted through the air.
