From classroom learning to kneading the clay to various hands-on workshops. You'll be creating using a spinning electric potter's wheel, like the ones you often see on TV. We use Shigaraki red clay as the clay. Other materials that can be used include Shigaraki white clay, Bizen clay, black granite clay, and porcelain clay. If you're not focused, your work will get squashed... But the instructor will help you as you make your work, so don't worry if it's your first time... You'll practice making teacups, mugs, bowls, plates, vases, sake bottles, and sake cups. Please let us know if there is anything you would like to make. You can choose two pieces and we will fire them for the price. You can also order more pieces (pottery: 800 yen plus tax, porcelain: 1,000 yen plus tax), so people often make them as gifts. Of course, single orders are also welcome, so please feel free to come (^^) ◆ Required time ◆ Approximately 6 hours (with breaks) *It usually takes about 3 months for the pieces to be fired.
