Korakukan, a playhouse built in the Meiji era, is still in operation for more than 100 years and still holds regular performances (popular plays, etc.). In the first half of 2024, there will be a boy's review show of "Jun Kanzaki & 10carats" from late April to early June, and "Gekidan Yumeiro" from mid-June to late July, a theater troupe formed just for the Korakukan performance. It's interesting how it's different every year. The second half, from August 3rd to October 27th, is a popular theater performance by Shitamachi Kabuki-gumi. Performances will be performed in rotation for approximately one month each: Chairman Hiroshi Hitomi (Hagata Subaru Toma) → Hanagata Kaito Shingetsu → Chairman Tooru Mitsumine (Hagata Shigeki Takahashi). It is designed to be enjoyed by people of all ages, so we have many visitors, including students from elementary school to high school on school trips. Please enjoy watching a play at Korakukan, a playhouse that is still in operation after a century. Kosaka Town in Akita Prefecture is a town that prospered due to the Kosaka Mine. The Meiji era playhouse ``Korakukan'' was built in 1910 as a welfare facility for Kosaka Mine employees. The outside of the building is Western-style, but the inside is a purely Japanese-style playhouse. The most distinctive feature is the combination of Japanese and Western styles, which is rare among playhouses. A staff member wearing a Kuroko costume will guide you through the tour of Korakukan's facilities. Enjoy an eye-opening behind-the-scenes look at a living playhouse!

Mr. Tsuda, a mochi-pounding expert, says, ``First of all, I want you to enjoy it. Even if the ingredients are the same and the method is the same, the texture and taste will change depending on how you crush the beans and the speed, so please compare it with the people who experienced it with me.'' I hope you take a look and enjoy your own original Zunda mochi." Also, while making Zunda Mochi, you will be able to talk about the origin of Zunda Mochi, which has various theories, and tourist attractions in Sendai. My stomach and head are full of nutrients. It's truly a premium dining experience. You can also try tasting Sendai's famous beef tongue as an option!
