In this experience, you will learn the basics of calligraphy, practice writing your name or favorite phrase with brush and ink, and create a one-of-a-kind piece of calligraphy. Hiroshima is known as one of Japan's leading producers of traditional calligraphy brushes. The brushes used in this experience are handcrafted by artisans in Kumano Town, a town famous for its brush-making. At the end of the experience, you will have the opportunity to write your name or favorite phrase in kanji on a T-shirt, fan, pouch, or other item. Perfect for couples, families, or solo travelers, this experience lasts approximately 90 minutes and is within walking distance of Hiroshima Peace Memorial Park.
