Recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this beautiful traditional village is the definition of postcard-like beauty. Shirakawa-go Ogimachi Gassho-zukuri Village is the village with the most remaining Gassho-zukuri houses. The name Gassho-zukuri literally means "like praying hands." Gassho-zukuri Village takes you back to pre-modern Japan. Climb the Shirakawa-go observation deck, look out over the village, and enjoy the view of a time gone by. Shirakawa-go is worth a repeat visit as it shows different looks with the changing of the seasons. "Hidden Christian Sites in Nagasaki and Amakusa Region" registered as a World Heritage Site in July 2018. Most of them are remote islands, but there is only one area in Nagasaki that can be reached by car. It is the Sotome area located on the border with Saikai City in the northern part of the prefecture. While escaping to Amakusa and Goto in the distance, the area that became the root of "hidden" is "Sotome". It is also the place where Shusaku Endo's book "Silence" was set. This is an experience program that includes a chartered bus tour of Sendai Station to visit earthquake-related facilities. Fuji can be viewed from the 5th station at the end of the Fuji Subaru Line at an altitude of 2,300 meters! * In the period from December to March, the bus cannot go to the 5th station as it is closed, and the tour visits Fujiten Snow Resort, where you can have snow-viewing experience and some time for taking photos.
