Design and make your own knife in this hands-on workshop. ① History and craftsmanship of knives Explore the rich history of knife-making while learning how to sharpen with professional tools. ② Shaping Under guidance, carefully shape the blade and finish it into your desired design. ③ Carving and finishing Add a little personal touch with carving, or polish and finish. ④ Attach the handle and finish it. Attach the handle firmly to the knife to pursue a comfortable and durable fit. ⑤ Commemorative photo Take home not only the sharpened knife, but also a photo of your memories!

スズ板から木づちと木の型を使って小皿を作っていくプランです。金属の中でもスズは比較的やわらかく、加工しやすい素材といわれるので、はじめて鍛金に挑戦する人や力に自信がない人におすすめです。頑張れば、浅めのぐいのみにすることもできます！ 一見でこぼこな打ち跡を整えて、表面がなめらかに仕上がれば完成です。 * Courses may not be held due to unexpected events (natural disasters such as typhoons, sudden illness of instructors) etc. In that case, we will contact you by phone, e-mail etc before noon of the day. Kamakura is a popular tourist destination for Japanese and foreign visitors.  It is a place where many Japanese traditions have been preserved along with nature. And it was a birthplace of the Kamakura shogunate known as the samurai regime. In this program, you can visit the blacksmith workshop that is operated in Kamakura by direct descendant of legendary sword master Masamune. Also you can appreciate and actually hold a Japanese sword which is, at present, regarded as a fine masterpiece of Art. This program is conducted with Japanese only. Foreign language explanation is an optional service.
