<About Forest Adventure Ritto> Forest Adventure Ritto is located in the Satoyama area of Shiga Prefecture, where rich nature, historic temples, activities and sports gather. It is easily accessible from both the Meishin and Shin-Meishin Expressways, and you can come for a day trip from Osaka, Kyoto and Nagoya. There is a dynamic "Adventure Course" and a "Canopy Course" that even preschoolers can experience, so families, groups, children and adults can enjoy it seriously! "It was better than I expected!" "Next time I'll try a more difficult course!" "The staff was fun!" We aim to be a park that will satisfy both first-timers and repeat visitors! [Adventure Course] A dynamic course that makes use of the height of the trees and the characteristics of the terrain. The course, which consists of 4 sites and 30 activities, includes a suspension bridge that sways widely from side to side and a single-plank bridge that does not stop once it starts moving, and is sure to make even adults scream! [What is Samurai Cafe?] It is a "participatory period drama entertainment" where customers come on stage and have a great time becoming the leading roles in a period drama. It is an entertainment show that can be enjoyed by children and adults alike, with plenty to see, such as sword fighting and action between samurai and ninja, and a gorgeous and luxurious procession of courtesans!

This is a guided cycling tour around the area around Omi Ohashi Bridge and Seta River. A local guide will show you the sights that can only be seen by cycling. Please make your mind and body well by cycling around Lake Biwa. Rental bicycles and helmets are included. Please join us empty-handed. This course is centered around the flat and easy-to-ride areas in the southernmost part of Lake Biwa, and is enjoyable even for beginners. This tour is guided cycling, so you can easily experience a tour led by a cycling guide. We will introduce the attractive and slightly maniacal spots scattered around the course with explanations from the guide. "Mikata Five Lakes" are five lakes with five different colors. A 30km bicycle ride around the lake is called Gokoichi. We will guide you around Gokoichi on a rental bicycle. We will show you the highlights and recommended photo spots of each lake. Lunch is also included, which is recommended by the guide. You will taste three types of sake, then enjoy sake with dried snacks. First, there will be an explanation of the history of Nakatani Sake Brewery, rice polishing, and the three types of sake. The snacks are roasted black beans, Dried cod with sesame paste, and Dried Seaweed. Weave flower knots (bellflower and peony) and cobblestone patterns with paper strings, then paste on washi paper. The air is removed and the product is finished by applying several coats of persimmon tannin, a traditional Japanese method. This process may vary in difficulty, but it follows the same process as products sold in stores, so please try experiencing the difficulty and beauty for yourself. When you think of Kyoto, you may think of the bustling downtown areas of Gion and Kawaramachi, but this tour takes you along the river and lets you experience the quietness of Kyoto. Starting from Road Bike Rental Japan Kyoto store in Takeda, Fushimi Ward, you'll warm up with a ride along the Higashi Takase River. In the middle of the ride, you'll head to the Uji River. While admiring the flow of the river and the greenery, you'll then head to the Yamashina River. Feeling the seasons with spring cherry blossoms, early summer hydrangeas, and autumn leaves is sure to refresh your mind and body. The final part of the ride will take you to the Higashiyama area of Kyoto. After taking some great photos at Nanzenji Temple and Heian Shrine, you can end the ride with a ride along the Kamo River. This is a course where you can enjoy the various faces of Kyoto in half a day.

A one-day cycling tour to enjoy mainly the Harie area of Takashima City, Shiga Prefecture. In the morning, after arriving at Shin-Asahi Station, leave your luggage and rent a bicycle, then cycle along Takashima's rural roads. For lunch, enjoy a BBQ using local ingredients. In the afternoon, visit Harie, the "hometown of fresh water," to see the traditional lifestyle that uses spring water, and enjoy local sake at Kawashima Sake Brewery. First, you will observe the making of a Japanese sword (forging) for about an hour. After that, you will create a small knife under the guidance of a swordsmith who has inherited the art of making Japanese swords. Tango bara sushi is one of the traditional local dishes of the Tango region. Its main feature is the use of mackerel oboro. Oboro is a fish that is mashed raw in a mortar, seasoned, and fried over a fire. It has a refined taste, and the sweet and salty taste is addictive! Bara sushi is a type of pressed sushi made by stuffing sushi rice into a mold, placing seeds such as oboro and omelette on top, and pressing it down. It is one of the indispensable dishes for celebratory occasions in the Tango region. All ingredients will be provided, so you can easily experience making bara sushi. Everyone from children to adults can enjoy the experience. In addition, we hold the event all year round, so you can make a reservation according to your schedule. The meal will be savored in the large hall of the Hirakatajuku Kagiya Museum, a nationally registered tangible cultural property. This special experience involves renting out the entire venue, which flourished as a boat lodge during the Edo period and as a ryokan (traditional Japanese inn) in modern times, and tasting a meal that would have been served to samurai. Hirakata City is located halfway between Kyoto and Osaka and is easily accessible, but it is also a post town with its own unique charm. Here, you can have the fascinating experience of "transforming into a kimono in 3 minutes." The area is dotted with historical roads that have been in existence for over 400 years, temples and shrines, and Japanese traditions and aesthetic sense are alive and well. Walk around in a kimono and enjoy lunch and sweets at a townhouse cafe. You can take wonderful photos that are perfect for social media while enjoying Japanese culture.

In the renowned Kyoto bamboo shoot region of Oharano in Nishikyo Ward, a bamboo shoot farmer who manages the bamboo groves will provide an easy-to-understand explanation of everything from the ecology to the cultural significance of bamboo shoots. Participants will get to experience harvesting using a unique hoe specific to this region, and enjoy dishes prepared with the fresh bamboo shoots they have harvested themselves (four dishes typically eaten by the farmers will be served, along with drinks such as sake). While your bamboo shoots are simmering, you will join in a bamboo chopstick-making activity at Shop & Gallery Chikubuen (matcha and snacks included). During your meal, you will use the bamboo chopsticks you make, along with bamboo tableware and cups crafted by the farmer, enjoying the food amidst the scenic bamboo grove. This is a bamboo-themed tour that allows you to fully experience the culture of Kyoto bamboo shoots. You'll be guided by a team of a farmer who is passionately committed to cultivating the highest quality bamboo shoots and an interpreter guide deeply rooted in and knowledgeable about the local area.
