Plan description

"Mikata Five Lakes" are five lakes with five different colors. A 30km bicycle ride around the lake is called Gokoichi. We will guide you around Gokoichi on a rental bicycle. We will show you the highlights and recommended photo spots of each lake. Lunch is also included, which is recommended by the guide. If you cancel in the event of rain, we will refund the full amount. ~Experience flow~ ① Reception Check in at the tourist information center inside JR Mihama Station. We will decide on a rental bicycle and inform you of the itinerary for the day and precautions. ② Let's Cycling Start with the guide ③ Rest, photos, and shopping along the way We will take a break at the highlights and photo spots. You can also buy souvenirs along the way. ④ Lunch We will have a lunch recommended by the guide.

Lake Hyuga connected to the sea Of the Mikata Five Lakes, Lake Kugushi and Lake Hyuga are connected to the sea, and Lake Hyuga is saltwater, so you can fish for sea fish.

Suigetsu Lake The road around Lake Suigetsu, where Fukui plums are cultivated, is only used by plum work vehicles. This lake is also where strata and varves that contain 70,000 years of Earth's history have been excavated.

Lake Mikata Of the five lakes, this is the one most closely associated with human activity. There is a community road and plum grove on the lakeside, and in winter, you can see people using tatataki-ami fishing to catch carp and crucian carp.

Lake Suga The lake in the forest is far away from any people or houses. We pass through the gap between the forest and the lake.

Lake Kukuko The lake is also the venue for the National Athletic Meet, and is the departure and arrival point for battery-powered sightseeing boats. From the color-block promenade, you can even watch the practice of rowing teams.
