Spend a full day creating a kozuka — a small decorative utility blade that was once concealed in the scabbard of a Japanese sword. The material used is the same as that used in real Japanese swords & tamahagane, the highest-grade steel in the world. During the experience, you will make a clay base (tsuchi-dai), inscribe a blade crest (yasurime), attach the blade, carve your name onto it, craft a kozuka case, and sharpen the blade to complete the piece.
