[June to November: held on weekdays] Akashiba Gorge is a scenic spot in Bandai Asahi National Park with a stunning landscape. The area is covered with broadleaf trees such as Japanese maples, maples, and beeches, and is a famous spot for autumn leaves that turn bright red every fall. It is said that the name Akashiba Gorge came from the fact that it was called the "Red Wall of Japan." The Arakawa River, where the gorge is located, looks like a rapid when viewed from National Route 113, but on this tour, you will canoe in a relatively calm area surrounded by granite. The field has a different flow than canoeing on a lake, which makes you feel nervous. After warming up, you will paddle upstream against the flow of the river in the first half. With a break in between, you will canoe down the valley in the second half. The view of Akashiba Gorge from the water with a guide is exceptional. *In 2025, the tour will be held from Monday to Friday. If you would like to take the Akashiba Gorge canoe tour on weekends, please contact us. On weekends, we mainly hold canoe tours around Lake Shirakawa and Mibuchi Valley. The tour will be held even if it rains, but if the river is flowing very fast, the tour may be canceled at the discretion of the local guide. In that case, the fee will be fully refunded. Pets are not allowed on the tour. Please contact us if you have sufficient experience.

Sakegawa Village is a snowy rural village with about 1.5m of snow even on the flat ground, and broadleaf satoyama spreads around the clear stream "Sakegawa" where salmon swim up. This year, Sakegawa Village's boarding friends who have enjoyed snowboarding and skateboarding in the past gathered together and established a volunteer group called the "Sakegawa Village Boarding Promotion Council" to enjoy the snowy satoyama terrain of Sakegawa Village with snowboards. The council aims to launch an original snowboard brand, and while learning from seniors who are leading the snowboard culture in the boarding industry, they are also holding activities such as snowboarding experience sessions at the village's snow festival. This tour starts at the Sakegawa Eco Park campsite, and includes a snowboarding session that makes use of the unique terrain of the snowy satoyama, making a sample shape of an original snowboard, and a boarding social gathering at a cottage in the evening. ~Experience flow~ [Day 1] 10:00 Let's try gliding down the park course and natural Satoyama course on a snowboard! 12:00 There is a restaurant in Sakegawa Village Eco Park.
