This half-day fishing experience, supported by a natural sciences college graduate, focuses on fishing using the guide's specialized techniques. The thrill of fishing is encapsulated in the excitement of casting the line, the feeling of the hook when you pull, the thrill of striking the hook, and the sense of accomplishment when you finally catch something. However, if you try to imitate others during the initial introduction, you often end up just waiting. I, now a guide and guide, was one of those people. I understand the hesitation of asking a friend or acquaintance who knows more about the process, and the hesitation of trying out fishing alone. You may also have to decide what to do with the fish you catch. This plan is designed as a prologue to your first fishing experience. You'll generally be surrounded by no other guests, so you can enjoy the experience without any hesitation. We'll help you fully develop your five and sixth senses through fishing, helping you build on them to the next level. We'll also provide basic fishing equipment, including items commonly found at 100-yen shops. Once you know the equipment, you can prepare everything yourself. We can also provide the equipment if you wish. The trip will take place near Ishikari Bay New Port, close to Sapporo. Each guide has their own specialty, but we hope you will enjoy the joy of catching a fish no matter what method you use. There are also famous restaurants nearby, such as Costco Ishikari, Sato Suisan Salmon Factory, and Ramen Shingen, so there is plenty to enjoy even after fishing. [Please note: This plan is intended for experienced anglers.] This is a self-service plan for those who have already taken our full-service smelt fishing one-day plan. This plan allows you to enjoy fishing without bringing anything with you. The tent, equipment, and fishing gear used in the guided tour are provided, but you are free to enjoy the rest of the time. Two bags of whitebait and spare tackle are also provided. *Please let us know if you do not need these. We have staff on-site who specialize in guided tours, so we can assist you if you need assistance. This plan allows you to enjoy the experience as long as you are comfortable with baiting and removing fish from the hook. We provide boiling water, so if you bring water, you can have lunch such as instant ramen. Please take your catch and any trash home with you. [Differences from the full-service plan] *Smelt tasting is not available. Please enjoy it at home or elsewhere. Tempura is available at a nearby roadside station restaurant for an additional fee. *There is no transportation from central Sapporo or stops at facilities along the way. You must come to the fishing spot yourself. *It costs just over 1,000 yen to take a taxi from the nearest station (Ainosato Kyoikudai Station) to the fishing spot. *We do not provide any baiting or removal of hooks from catches. *Please take any trash you bring with you home with you. *Available from 10:00 to 15:30.

Explore the riverside near the popular Escon Field ballpark and discover underwater creatures you wouldn't normally see! The Wattsu River is a 14.2-kilometer-long, first-class river that originates in Kamiwattsu, Kitahiroshima City, and flows into the Chitose River. The town of Kitahiroshima began in 1884, when 103 people from 25 households immigrated from Hiroshima Prefecture and settled along the river. While the area now boasts a waterfront environment, the river has witnessed the town's continued development. Rummaging through the undergrowth with a dip net, you'll encounter a variety of aquatic creatures. The river is just under 15 kilometers long, but its diverse habitat will surely pique your interest. Depending on the season, students studying aquatic life at a vocational school will also be available as guides, so be sure to ask them questions. You can learn about the rich water environment of Kitahiroshima and the Ishikari region, and enjoy our water activities as a project for elementary school students' independent research or as a way to safely enjoy playing near water. After the experience, you might also want to visit Escon Field Hokkaido, the ballpark of your dreams.

The fishing spots are the Wattsu River in Kitahiroshima and the Izari River that flows through the city of Eniwa. Of course, fish live in the city. They can be found even in places where the river is narrow or shallow, making it seem like there would be no fish. Trees on the riverside block the sunlight, and cold water flows at your feet. Enjoy fishing in such places while escaping the summer heat. Use a long rod or a multipurpose rod and use earthworms as bait. If you are not good at touching insects or fish, don't worry, the guide will support you. The location is Eniwa City. It is the largest of the many tributaries that flow into the Chitose River, and its source is Gyōdake, with a length of 46.8 kilometers. The Izari River Dam is located upstream, about 15 kilometers from Eniwa city, relatively close to the urban area.

Why not try searching for aquatic creatures in the Yasuharu River, which flows through the Shinkotoni district in the northern part of Sapporo? It's a beautiful stream just under 5 kilometers long, and the creatures that live there vary depending on the location, with many different aquatic creatures making an appearance. Search and catch underwater creatures that you normally can't see! You might even come across sticklebacks, loaches, bitterlings, marsh gnats, and water sticklebacks! Fun for both adults and children!

Participation by families such as women and children is also welcome. You can rest assured that the guide car will take you to the fishing spot. Waders can be rented when it's cold, so it's comfortable! Let's enjoy trout fishing while feeling the nature of Hokkaido with bare skin!

Smelt fishing that feels like a fishing pond near Ishikari Bay New Port, which is close to Sapporo city. If you want to catch smelt, but the ice has not frozen yet, or if the ice has melted, we recommend this option for those who just want to enjoy fishing, or those who just want to catch a fish. The Ishikari Discharge Channel, a shortcut that connects the Ibarato River to Ishikari Bay, is a hidden spot for smelt fishing. The seawall is well maintained and you can enjoy it as if you were at a fishing pond. The location of smelt changes depending on the weather, and if your hunch is right, you may catch up to 40 smelt in an hour. Why not try fishing during the recommended time? Basically, you can take your catch home, but if you really want to try it as tempura, please contact us. On your way home after fishing, please stop by tourist facilities and scenic spots to enjoy a fulfilling day. *Free transportation is available from hotels in the center of Sapporo, such as in front of Sapporo Station.
