You may have a chance to encounter snakes such as the viper, the Yaeyama scorpion, one of only two species of scorpion in Japan, the scorpion-like imitation, the agile Sakishima tree lizard and Sakishima grass lizard, Yaeyama's endemic frogs, and even the Ryukyu wild boar and Yaeyama flying fox! After that, we move to the coast and finally start searching for coconut crabs. We will observe the ecology of the coconut crab, one of the world's largest terrestrial crustaceans, up close.
