The Korakukan and Kosaka Mine Offices, which are heritage sites of the Meiji era, are located in Kosaka Town in the northern part of Akita Prefecture. Designated as a national important cultural property, it is an important building in the town. Kosaka is a mining town located southwest of Lake Towada. Korakukan was built in 1910 (Meiji 43) as a welfare facility for Kosaka Mine employees. There was a time when the number of visitors decreased due to the trend of the times, but it has been restored and preserved while being used, and even after more than 100 years, it is still a living theater where performances are held from spring to autumn. . During the winter when there are no performances, the museum is open as a tour facility. (Excluding the year-end and New Year holidays, rental time, etc.) Kosaka Mine Office, built in 1905, five years earlier than Korakukan, was an office building at the time.
