One of the major themes of Kitsuki tourism is "a town that suits Japanese clothes". This castle town, which has also been called Little Kyoto, has the atmosphere of Edo everywhere in the city, giving visitors the charm of taking a time trip to Edo. What is fun is that we support this "mood" as a community development.

Kitsuki Walking & Kimono Experience Tour: Explore the castle town of Kitsuki in a kimono. After professionally dressing you in traditional Japanese clothing, walk through the historic streets with a guide, and finish with a visit to a local sake brewery and a tea ceremony. Step back in time and explore the beautiful samurai town of Kitsuki in Oita Prefecture. Kitsuki is Japan's only "sandwich-style" castle town, with samurai residences on the hilltop and former merchants' homes below. Experience the charm of the Edo period as you stroll through its cobblestone streets and quiet lanes. You'll also visit Nakano Sake Brewery, a family-run business in business for six generations, where you can taste the award-winning "Jie Bijin" sake. This tour includes kimono dressing, a stroll through the historic streets, a tea ceremony, and a tour of the sake brewery. Transportation is not included. Take a taxi or public transportation from Beppu. Round-trip taxi fares are approximately 20,000 to 25,000 yen.
