After deepening understanding by actually touching the kintsugi works, the history of kintsugi, the philosophy, materials and techniques, and lacquer will be introduced, The workshop will also include demonstrations of each step of the kintsugi process.Participants will experience some of the five processes including the final process of applying lacquer and metallic( tin )powder sprinkling. We share inspiring moments of kintsugi. Japanese tea will be included. All materials and tools will be provided.

We will conduct a monitor tour for the purpose of planning and developing a new SDGs-type education program. During the tour, Waseda University students act as tour guides and guide students around the university campus where they usually spend their time, as well as shopping malls lined with restaurants that satisfy students' appetites. In the future, we plan to disseminate this tour both domestically and internationally as an example of students and the local community (shopping association) working on sustainable town development. We would like to ask everyone who participated to provide us with their opinions in order to make the program even better. Please join us and give us your advice to improve the quality of our tours.
