Explore the riverside near the popular Escon Field ballpark and discover underwater creatures you wouldn't normally see! The Wattsu River is a 14.2-kilometer-long, first-class river that originates in Kamiwattsu, Kitahiroshima City, and flows into the Chitose River. The town of Kitahiroshima began in 1884, when 103 people from 25 households immigrated from Hiroshima Prefecture and settled along the river. While the area now boasts a waterfront environment, the river has witnessed the town's continued development. Rummaging through the undergrowth with a dip net, you'll encounter a variety of aquatic creatures. The river is just under 15 kilometers long, but its diverse habitat will surely pique your interest. Depending on the season, students studying aquatic life at a vocational school will also be available as guides, so be sure to ask them questions. You can learn about the rich water environment of Kitahiroshima and the Ishikari region, and enjoy our water activities as a project for elementary school students' independent research or as a way to safely enjoy playing near water. After the experience, you might also want to visit Escon Field Hokkaido, the ballpark of your dreams.

This half-day experience plan is available only on weekdays and during the summer vacation period, and is based on the concept of fishing while using the fishing methods that the guide is good at. I think the best part of fishing is the excitement of casting the line to lure the fish, the feeling of resistance when you pull it, the thrill of setting the hook, and the sense of accomplishment when you catch a fish. However, if you try to do it by imitating what you see in the first introduction, you will often end up just waiting...I was one of those people, and now I work as a guide and write the explanations. I can understand how you feel, as you may feel hesitant to ask acquaintances or friends who know something, but you may also feel hesitant to try fishing alone. You may also have to think about what to do with the fish you catch. This plan is designed to be a prologue to your first fishing experience. Basically, there will be no other customers mixed in, so you can enjoy it without any hesitation. We will help you to fully enjoy the five and sixth senses you acquire through fishing, and lead you to the next step. We will cover the basics of fishing equipment, and use tools that are sold at 100 yen shops that everyone knows. Once you know what equipment you need, you can get everything you need on your own. We can also provide equipment if you wish. The trip takes place near Ishikari Bay New Port, close to Sapporo. Each guide has their own specialty, but we hope that you will enjoy the joy of catching a fish no matter what method you use. There are also famous restaurants nearby, such as Costco Ishikari, Sato Suisan Salmon Factory, and Ramen Shingen, so there is plenty to enjoy after fishing. We look forward to supporting your debut!!

Even if you are a first-time canoeist, you can go canoeing down the Mimi River. It is a wonderful field that is hard to find even in Japan. The guide will ride in a separate canoe from the customer, and you will be the only one to steer the canoe and leisurely go down through the wetlands where there are many waterfowl. During the tour, you can learn about the history of the Mimi River and the Ainu, and other stories unique to this area, while canoeing and learning from the guide. The field is near New Chitose Airport, and the Mimi River can be seen from the sky when planes take off and land. This is a recommended tour that is perfect for a honeymoon or family trip that you can remember every time you visit Hokkaido in the future. "The tour was fun, but we don't have any photos!!" "We came together, but we don't have any photos of the two of us!!" During the tour, we will give away photos taken with a single-lens reflex camera to anyone who wants them. [Tour Recommendations 1.2.3] ① The river flows slowly, and even at its deepest, it is only about waist-deep for adults, so it is a very shallow river, so you can rest assured. You will not be sharing the canoe. ② There are surprisingly few travel photos! ! Gateway Tours will give you digital photos of your tour! You cannot take photos of yourself in a canoe from inside the canoe. Photos taken in a canoe are memories that will last a lifetime. This service is only available at Gateway Tours! It's worth participating just for the photos. ③You can rest assured that your guide is an outdoor master guide certified by the Hokkaido Prefectural Governor, and also has other guide qualifications, rescue qualifications, and first aid qualifications. *If you are participating with your family or alone, please apply from another plan. https://activityjapan.com/search/?addressAndKeyword=Gateway+Tours
息子と2人で楽しい時間を過ごしました。途中珍しい向かい風に遭遇し、途中そのまま下るか元の工程を登るかの判断が必要でしたが無事完遂。ガイドさんにとってもお世話になりました。ありがとうございました。

To be honest, it is difficult to find a place to take an activity tour by yourself. Gateway Tours can only accept one person per tour. (This is not a private tour as it is held at the same time as other tours.) It is many times more difficult to operate a Canadian canoe by yourself than it is to operate it with two people. For this reason, you will basically ride in the guide's canoe. The benefits are that you can leisurely go down the river, take photos and videos with your own camera, ask the guide various questions, and listen carefully to the stories of the field. Also, depending on the conditions on the day (mainly the wind direction), you can try a single-seater canoe in a separate boat from the guide. During the tour, you can learn about the history of the Mimi River and the Ainu, and stories unique to this area from the guide, and of course you can canoe while learning. The field is near New Chitose Airport and there is a free shuttle, so many people use it at the beginning or end of their trip, or during their free time on a business trip to Hokkaido. During the tour, we will give you free photos taken with a single-lens reflex camera to those who wish. [Recommended] ① You can participate by one person! ! ②Surprisingly few travel photos!!
