"Kakunodate's Fire-Sweeping Kamakura" is a fantastical festival where magnificent rings of fire dance in the snow. It is a Little New Year event in which participants tie a rope about one meter long to a straw charcoal bag, light the bag, and then hold the end of the rope and swing it around their bodies, praying for good health and safety in their homes. ~Special Experience~ - Fire-swinging Kamakura experience using happi coats and hand towels exclusive to this tour - A history guide will tell you about the history of the Fire-swinging Kamakura - A free novelty gift ~Experience Details~ 12:00 Registration for participants begins. The Tazawako Highlands Snow Festival is packed with fun events for both adults and children, featuring snow sculptures created by snow sculptors and art university students. One of these events is the "Mini Paper Balloon Raising Experience," where participants will launch mini paper balloons bearing wishes into the starry sky! The balloons are covered in washi paper and filled with helium gas. LED bulbs are used instead of fire, making the experience extremely safe. You can take the paper balloons home with you on the day.
