Overall rating is fun! 5-star experience! View is astounding and it is so worth it! Even before the trip, Yuki is very responsive to all the questions that I have, especially it’s my first time in snow. During the hike, as you keep moving, you don’t feel the cold and want to run in the snow. Our tour guide, Yuki, he’s very friendly and waits for us during the hike. He also explains the animals that leaves traces (a fox, a woodpecker, etc) After the trip, Yuki dropped us on a famous Genghis Khan lamb bbq for dinner! Also great!

Thank you for explaining in Japanese and English once in a while for foreigners who can't speak Japanese and for taking care not to lose interest. This is a snowshoe hiking tour that climbs Shioyama Maruyama in Shioya, Otaru City, Hokkaido near Sapporo. A professional guide will give lectures on the points of winter mountain walking. This is a recommended tour for those who want to challenge the winter mountains and want to make their snowshoe debut. We will aim for the summit on a route different from the summer road. From the forest road walk, we will reach the ridge and aim for the summit of 629m. A spectacular ocean view awaits you from the top of the mountain! After descending the mountain, if you wish, you can stop by a nearby hot spring.
