It is a canoeing experience of about 8 km on the Kushiro River, which flows through the Kushiro Marsh. The meeting place is JR Senmo Line, Toya Station. This is the most downstream course starting from Hosooka Canoe Port and going down to Iwahogi Floodgate. This area retains the original appearance of the marshland with few trees and many open landscapes. The meandering of the Kushiro River is also the most frequent course. Of course, the guide will ride with you, so please leave the operation of the canoe to us. We also have a Kushiro Wetland long course of about 17 km that combines the forest course and the wilderness course! 〜Experience Flow〜 (For the 8:00 course) Meet at 8:00 JR Senmo Line Toya Station Please be at Toya Station at the start time of the tour. (If you are late, please let me know.) When we meet, we will park your car at Toya Station and move to Hosooka Station in my car. (Reception will be done inside the train) 8:15 Arrive at JR Senmo Line Hosooka Station When you arrive at Hosooka Station, after using the toilet, move to the starting point, Hosooka Canoe Port. 8:35 Canoe preparation, safety talk When you arrive at the Hosooka canoe port, prepare for canoeing and give a safety explanation for canoeing. 8:45 Departure! When you're ready, let's go! If you wish, we will also take a commemorative photo here during the experience. 10:05 Arrive at Iwahogi Floodgate! About 1 hour and 20 minutes canoeing experience. While the canoe is being put away, I will ask you to look at the marsh from a little higher ground. 10:30 Move from Iwahogi Water Gate to Toya Station and disband.
As you go down the river, the scenery opens up little by little, and you can see a wide wetland with no man-made structures anywhere. This may be the only place in Japan where you can't see a single electric wire in a wide view!?
Since it is a natural river with no bank protection work, it is constantly eroding and depositing, and the shape of the river changes slowly. Among them, the course with the most meanders such as hairpin curves! The view from Hosooka Observatory, a famous observatory in Kushiro Marsh, is on this course.

Plan attractions
Kushiro river rafting, which is called the mecca of canoeing! The Kushiro River flows through Kushiro Shitsugen National Park. An area where the original appearance of the river remains, with few artificial objects such as bank protection work. The erosion and sedimentation of the river slowly changed the shape of the river, and even now the meandering of the Kushiro River is changing. Powered boats are not allowed here, so only rowing canoes are allowed here!
Hosooka Observatory is the most beautiful observatory in Kushiro Marsh! Hosooka Observatory is one of the observatories that are often mentioned in guidebooks. You can see a big meandering river in the scenery seen from here, but we will go down there by canoe! It's also good to go see it after the river rafting is over! You can go ahead before going down the river! Please also visit Hosooka Observatory with a canoe!
This is the Kushiro Marsh! No matter where you look, there is only nature, and you will enter the marshland where you can not hear the sound of human beings. Nature as far as the eye can see as it opens gradually. You can also observe the muddy wetlands!
