Korakukan, a playhouse built in the Meiji era, is still in operation for more than 100 years and still holds regular performances (popular plays, etc.). In the first half of 2024, there will be a boy's review show of "Jun Kanzaki & 10carats" from late April to early June, and "Gekidan Yumeiro" from mid-June to late July, a theater troupe formed just for the Korakukan performance. It's interesting how it's different every year. The second half, from August 3rd to October 27th, is a popular theater performance by Shitamachi Kabuki-gumi. Performances will be performed in rotation for approximately one month each: Chairman Hiroshi Hitomi (Hagata Subaru Toma) → Hanagata Kaito Shingetsu → Chairman Tooru Mitsumine (Hagata Shigeki Takahashi). It is designed to be enjoyed by people of all ages, so we have many visitors, including students from elementary school to high school on school trips. Please enjoy watching a play at Korakukan, a playhouse that is still in operation after a century. Kosaka Town in Akita Prefecture is a town that prospered due to the Kosaka Mine. The Meiji era playhouse ``Korakukan'' was built in 1910 as a welfare facility for Kosaka Mine employees. The most distinctive feature is the combination of Japanese and Western styles, which is rare among playhouses. A staff member wearing a Kuroko costume will guide you through the tour of Korakukan's facilities. Enjoy an eye-opening behind-the-scenes look at a living playhouse!

Entering another magical world of frost-covered trees illuminated by the setting sun and shrouded in silence. Speaking of winter in Zao, it's the frost-covered trees. The world of snow-covered trees towering in pure white during the day is a sight to behold, but in the evening, when the lifts stop, the sight of them dyed a madder red by the setting sun is a sight you don't usually get to see. The ultimate time to enjoy the fantastic natural beauty with a glass of wine in a private snow buggy.

If you ride on a large sled pulled by a large buggy, you can feel the refreshing breeze from the slopes while watching skiers along the way, and enjoy the spectacular panoramic view of the Asahi Mountain Range. "Akashiba Gorge" is one of the most beautiful scenic spots in Bandai-Asahi National Park. The area is covered with broad-leaved trees such as mountain maple, maple, and beech, and is a famous spot for autumn leaves that turn bright red every fall. It is said that the name Akashiba Gorge was given because it was called "Japanese red wall". The Arakawa River, which has a gorge, looks like a rapid current when viewed from National Route 113, but on this tour, you will tour a relatively calm area surrounded by granite rocks by canoe. Unlike canoeing on the lake, the field with a current is thrilling. After warming up, in the first half we will row back to the flow of the river. With a break on the way, the second half is a canoe down the valley. The view of Akashiba Gorge from the water with a guide is exceptional. Although it will be held rain or shine, it may be canceled at the discretion of the local guide, such as when the flow of the river is very fast. In that case, the fee will be fully refunded. Basic pets cannot ride together. Please contact us if you have enough experience.

Offering prayers to nature and the gods, as you proceed further in the canoe through the sheer granite cliffs, you will find yourself in a different space cut off from the outside world. In addition, to use the public baths in hot spring towns, you usually have to pay a bathing fee of 200 yen per bath, but this plan comes with a bathing ticket that allows you to use one of the lower baths, upper baths, and Kawahara baths. When using the public bath, please bring your own towel and do not bring valuables. If you wish, you can use one of our 4 different private baths for a fee at a half-price discount of 1,100 yen. (Regular price: 2,300 yen per place) You can relax in the private rest room (our guest room)! In between walks and hot spring tours, you can relax in our guest rooms, which serve as private rest rooms, until check-out at 5:00 p.m.
