This is a tea mat weaving experience at the Genta Dyeing and Weaving Studio. Just choose your favorite color of thread and weave! From small children to the elderly, even first-time weavers are welcome♪ Foreigners can also enjoy weaving with hand gestures and go home. We have received comments that it is "pretty good" as a mouse pad. Since it is an indoor activity, you don't have to worry about the weather. You can experience it in the quaint workshop inside the castle of Aya International Craft. [White clay ceramic] Made with rare Okinawan white clay! [Plaster shisa] ☆Plaster is mainly made of Okinawan coral and contains rice straw. The plaster shisa were the pioneers of shisa spread to Okinawan homes ♪ All shisa are formed only with the material without using the heartwood. Large plaster shisa requires considerable skill. [Unglazed shisa] (special clay for indoor use) ☆Uses special clay. Since it is a material that is not fired, it can only be displayed indoors. Each one is completely handmade! Uses the same clay as the take-home shisa making experience ☆[Ceramic shisa] ☆Uses red clay from Okinawa. After forming, they are naturally dried for about 20 days, and then fired at 1,200℃ for two days. Since they are baked, they can be placed outside. It takes about one month to complete one. ☆A wide variety to choose from! ☆The total number of shisa produced by Enjoy Studio craftsmen is over 70,000! These are handmade shisa that you can only experience here♪ All of the shisa we handle are made in the studio (^^) ☆Many colored shisa samples! For reference when painting! ★After explaining the painting method, the work begins. Experience time varies from person to person. If you are painting two shisa by yourself, it will take about 30 minutes more if you paint them at the same time. Once you finish, take a commemorative photo with the shisa!
