This is a tour to experience the basics of calligraphy. We will create works that you can display in your home. The instructor is a master certified by the Japan Educational Calligraphy Federation, so he can give qualified advice. It will be held in the Ginza/Tsukiji area, so you can participate before or after strolling through Ginza or enjoying the Tsukiji restaurant district. This is a private tour with a maximum of 6 participants, and you can set the start time according to your convenience without worrying about other groups. This is a great opportunity to experience Japanese culture. We look forward to your participation.

For calligraphy (making works with a brush), you choose your favorite characters, words, and typeface from several models such as kanji, kana, and waka. After practicing calligraphy styles and points, make a clean copy. Decorate with calligraphy glitter (*) as you like. *While drying the product developed exclusively for our atelier to decorate calligraphy, let's do the seal engraving (making a seal to engrave names and words). Our atelier is characterized by engraving on special soft rubber that can be handled easily and safely. For those who want to make a seal (stamped on the bottom left of the work), the instructor will propose a design based on your name in kanji or kana. Those who want to make a sign (stuffed on the top right of the work) will choose from several auspicious words. This is an experiential tour where you will experience calligraphy, one of Japan's proud artistic cultures, and create two works of art. Each participant will receive a piece of work created by our instructor. Original and not a print. The type to display on your desk comes with a frame as shown in the photo. Larger types are available only in kind. You will practice how to hold a brush, basic vertical lines, horizontal lines, sweeps, dots, etc., and we will create two works of art that you can display in your home. One will be a large piece to hang on the wall, and one will be a small piece to hang on a desk or table. The instructor is a master calligrapher and professional calligrapher certified by the Japan Educational Calligraphy Federation, and the host of the calligraphy class. Please join us on this experiential tour where you can experience calligraphy, create your own work, and even get professional work. The venue will be a rental conference room near Higashi Ginza Station.

It is resistant to rashes and dries quickly, so you can take your work home with you on the same day. In addition, in this course, you can prepare a vessel for restoration, so you can easily experience Kintsugi empty-handed. Of course, you can also bring the vessel you want to do kintsugi. The shop is located in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, where many long-established traditional craft shops gather. During the Edo period, it prospered as a base for commerce and logistics, and even now you can feel the atmosphere of Edo culture everywhere. This is a course where you can experience one of the representative decoration techniques of lacquerware, "Makie". “Kakoku” is to decorate and beautify the surface of the product. It is a decoration technique to attach. We use cashew paint, which is a non-irritating synthetic resin paint, so that you can enjoy it safely. In this course, you can choose one of your favorite bowls and finish the original bowl by drawing pictures and letters with die-cutting and freehand. If you use the prepared designs, even people who are not good at drawing can easily work, and you can also bring your own original design and draw freely. “Kitanihonbashi Yumehigashi Main Store” is located in Nihonbashi, Tokyo, where many long-established traditional craft shops are gathered from the Edo period. Muto, the organizer, is a long-established company with history and tradition as a wholesale store specializing in lacquerware that has been in business for over 100 years. A workshop instructor with specialized skills will teach you carefully. The real thrill of the experience is the moment when the colors change when the sown powder is wiped off.
