Since it's a rare opportunity, why not try to experience a little bit of Kanazawa's traditional culture and have an experience that can only be had at that time. "Even if you forget your lunch, don't forget your umbrella!" Kanazawa has a lot of rain, so you're worried about whether you can take a leisurely stroll in a kimono... If you try making kimono scrap art, you don't have to worry about that at all! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------＜What is kimono scrap art making?＞This is an experience where you carefully unravel kimonos that can no longer be worn due to holes caused by burning or stains that won't come off, and use small pieces of kimono scraps to paste them onto stencils to create a one-of-a-kind art piece. We have a variety of stencils unique to Kanazawa, such as the Tsuzumimon Gate at Kanazawa Station, the Kotoji lantern at Kenrokuen, and Kanazawa Castle, so please choose your favorite one! There are also easy stencils such as dinosaurs and flowers for children. Anyone can easily get started. It's interesting that even with the same pattern, the kimono scraps used can make a variety of different works! You can take the finished work home with you in a frame on the spot! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------<Plan Contents> ① First, you will dress in a kimono. Choose your favorite kimono from the variety of kimonos available. Leave the dressing to us! (Hair set is an additional ￥2,200) ② After dressing, you will create a one-of-a-kind kimono scrap art. Choose your favorite pattern, cut the scraps with scissors and paste them with glue. There is no answer to art! Some people create bold works, others delicate ones! You can experience the experience while chatting with friendly staff in a homely atmosphere, giving advice on recommended color combinations! Since it is an experience while wearing a kimono, it may be a little difficult to work, but let's have fun! ③ Decide the frame color ④ Choose the frame color and put the work in You can frame the finished work on the spot and take it home. Let's join a morning routine of local residence !! In Echizen Ono where is an old castle town, many local residences have a routine to do "Radio Taiso" (short exercise) and walk to "Echizen Ono castle" on the hill.We would join to "Radio Taiso" that is held by local residences in every morning, before / after the exercise enjoy chatting with them. Then, we will bring you "Oshozu" (famous water spring) for hydration and Kameyama Hill that Echizen Ono castle stands on the top with english explanation, therefore we would have tea time with panoramic view from top of the hill.After this tour, we recommend you to have a breakfast at Ryokans (Japanese Hotel) or Guest house which you can eat even you don' t stay. Enjoy Kutani and the stylish tradesman culture in a retro-modern townhouse. Komatsu's old town area was formed around Komatsu Castle, which used to be here. The artist, Yukio Uchida, is the only artist in this area where the stylish tradesman culture, including Kabuki and Hikiyama, still remains, and is the only person involved in the production of Kutani ware. He is also the owner of "Toraya Ceramics Store", which has a store in a renovated building of the traditional architectural style "Komatsu Machiya". In this program, under the guidance of Mr. Uchida, Kutani ware painting of "Kutani style" will be performed in a retro-modern Komatsu Machiya. After the experience, enjoy the many furnishings and tasteful atmosphere stored in the tea room with all five senses while tasting the matcha tea that Mr. Uchida himself makes in the tea room. * For foreign nationals: Information on the day will be in Japanese only.

A professional photographer with a wealth of topics will accompany you, and you will have fun taking photos at Higashi Chaya District, a tourist attraction in Kanazawa (1 hour).The photos taken can be downloaded from the customer's own web page. We have everything you need for kimono rental, so you can come empty-handed. Please return it by business hours on the day of rental.

The only place in Komatsu where you can visit a farm and experience stone processing! Takigahara Town, Komatsu City is a production area of Takigahara stone with beautiful blue gray color. The numerous stone quarries (choba) with a history of more than 100 years and arch bridges made entirely of stone are the major reasons why Komatsu City has been certified as a Japanese heritage site for its stone culture. Ishizai Aratani Shoten is a stone material shop that manages the only active stone quarry in Takigahara, which used to have many stone quarries. The cave mining site is cool in summer and warm in winter, and maintains a consistent temperature year-round. In this program, an arch bridge and quarry made of Takigahara stone will be guided by Mr. Shuichiro Funatsu, a sculptor and geoguide who uses Takigahara stone for creative activities, and Mr. Yumi Aratani, the current owner of Stone Aratani Shoten. It is a unique experience where you can see and learn about Komatsu's stone culture and stone history while visiting the original. ☆ There is also a plan with a stone carving workshop ☆ After the tour, those who wish can touch and feel the stones at the stone carving workshop. *Reservations for the sculpture workshop have ended.
