The producers have arrived at a unique cultivation method after many years of trial and error, and the top quality strawberries are grown under strict management, and you can enjoy the sweet aroma to your heart's content. After picking strawberries, you can also interact with the animals on the vast grounds! Awaji Country Garden is located on a small hilltop in the northern part of Awaji Island. It is located in a great location where you can see the Akashi Strait and Akashi Kaikyo Bridge below, as well as the Kobe cityscape on the opposite bank. In two vinyl greenhouses in one corner of the vast grounds, there are countless large, ripe, bright red strawberries that are ready to be eaten. The strawberries grown in this greenhouse are large, even at a standard size of 2L, but what is particularly noteworthy are the extra-large strawberries that are packed and sold individually as luxury gifts. These are about the size of a small peach and are priced at over 500 yen each! Participants can taste strawberries of the exact same quality through the strawberry picking experience. It may also be interesting to look for extra-large strawberries that are shipped as gifts. The joy of finding them is even greater! The cultivation method in the greenhouse is the nowadays mainstream method of raising the cultivation shelves about one meter above the ground, making it easy for adults and children alike to reach and pick the strawberries without having to assume an awkward position.
