This is a summer-only, nightly tour for capturing rhinoceros beetles and stag beetles, aimed at small children. It will be held mainly on weekdays when there is less competition. We apologize for the late hour, but we would be happy to help you make summer memories with your children. We look forward to your early reservations. ▼Experience content On the day, we will visit several points and introduce some tips for observation. We will observe rhinoceros beetles and stag beetles. You can see cicadas emerging, long-horned beetles, stag beetles, centipedes, and occasionally raccoons. There are fewer hornets at night, so it is safe. The number of observations varies depending on the weather, but generally ranges from a few to a maximum of several dozen, and the number of observations decreases before and after rain. Please understand that we cannot commit to the number of observations due to the natural environment. All observed insects will be released on site, and we will bring you the same insects captured in the countryside (mainly Ibaraki and Tochigi prefectures). ▼Meeting information・Customers travelling by car or on foot: Please come directly to the meeting point at 7pm. *Details will only be provided to guests who have made a reservation.▼DisbandmentThe tour will end around 8:30pm, and you can return by train. You will experience catching beetles and stag beetles at private sites in the Chofu City and Mitaka City areas. I am a host who loves insects and breeds about 500 insects a year. Due to the natural environment, it may not be possible to catch them after rain. Due to many requests from early elementary school students and preschoolers, we will be changing the start time to 8:00 or 9:00 a.m. ▼Schedule/Meeting We will meet at the meeting point at 4am in the morning. After explaining the rules for the day, we will move to 3 to 4 points by bicycle. We will observe and capture fish until 7am. Take a tour with your guide through the quaint street lined with Japanese old houses! Masuda Town has prospered as a merchant town since the Edo period. Because this town has been the transportation hub, a variety of agricultural products gathered here. Merchants amassed wealth in their fields and created mansion towns. Inside these mansions, "Kura'' or a storehouse was built by wealthy merchants to store documents and household furniture. This storehouse is still inhabited and rare even in Japan. Feel the elegance in the detailed decorations such as white plaster, polished black plaster and lacquered interior. The townscape is home to many historic buildings of this area. Masuda town was designated as a National Preservation Districts for Groups of Traditional Buildings in 2013. Find the storehouses of each mansion with its unique structure and decoration. In this guided tour, you will be able to visit two to three mansions with storehouse while receiving an explanation. English speaking guide accompanies you.

Experience rummaging around the rocks in Kanagawa Prefecture, and observe shellfish, crabs, octopus, sea urchins, sea slugs, fish, and hermit crabs. This tour takes place around 2 hours before and after low tide. The host will provide all the equipment, including waders, long sleeves, silly boots, nets, cases, and gloves for children and adults. Please wear a swimsuit (waders over your everyday clothes from October onwards) and marine shoes. What to bring: Marine shoes (from the end of March to October), swimsuit, rash guard, spats, drinks, hat, rucksack, plastic case for taking home + bubble (battery-powered oxygen supply machine) What to prepare on your side: silly boots (from November to mid-March), net, storage bucket On the day, please take the Keihin Kyuko line + bus or car to the designated point. Meet 2 hours before low tide, explain the precautions, play on the rocks, and finally hold a briefing on the creatures. Please bring a plastic case if you want to take home the fish. A bubble will be required for the fish. The start and next time will change depending on the time of low tide, so please be sure to check before coming to the meeting place.
